De um lado do ecrã, vemos o perturbado empregado do Grandview Hotel que colhe todas as hóspedes loiras que encontra. Do outro, vemos as suas vítimas — completamente alheias ao facto de que as suas estadias serão mais curtas do que o habitual. No meio desta chacina, temos o detetive Rick Stewart cuja ex-mulher, a cantora Lisa James, acaba de chegar ao hotel. Ao mesmo tempo que Rick investiga os crimes do Grandview, apercebe-se que Lisa poderá ser a próxima vítima. Conseguirá ele parar o assassino a tempo? Esta é a pergunta central deste thriller esquecido da MGM de 1973, realizado por um veterano da série “The Twilight Zone”. Uma curiosidade original, ainda a aproveitar a ressaca de um mundo pós-”Psycho”, foi filmada inteiramente no revolucionário processo de Duovision, onde o ecrã se divide em dois, com cada um dos lados a mostrar um ponto de vista diferente.
On one side of the screen, the disturbed bellboy of the Grandview Hotel reaps all the blonde female guests he can find. On the other, we see all of those who are unaware that their time at the hotel will be shorter than expected. In the midst of all this carnage is detective Rick Stewart whose ex-wife, singer Lisa James, has just checked into the hotel. As Rick investigates these killings, he realizes Lisa could be the next victim. Will he be able to stop the killer in time? That's the central question of this forgotten 1973 MGM thriller, directed by Twilight Zone veteran Richard L. Bare. A bona fide curiosity, still reeling from a post-Psycho landscape, shot entirely with the revolutionary Duovision process, where the screen splits in two with each side showing a different point of view.
